9-11

Today we pay tribute all those who lost their lives as a result of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and to those who lost their lives trying to rescue them.  Never forget 9-11.

Happy Birthday to my very good friend Betty.  Wish we were there to help you celebrate.  Hope your birthday was a great one.

Got up early this morning to 37 degrees.  John is loving this weather.  We walked over to the pancake breakfast at the park rec hall.  They were serving apple-cinnamon pancakes and sausage and biscuits and gravy, orange juice and coffee.  You could choose one or the other. It was all you can eat so if you got pancakes the first go around you could go back and get biscuits and gravy.  The pancakes were rather large but tasty.  I could not eat all of mine; as usual.

004 Here is John right before digging into his plate.

002 This is John’s plate.

Later in the morning John made a run to the post office.  Other than that it was a day to just chill out.  I caught up on laundry and took Fred out a few times.

I think tomorrow we will check out some of the interesting places the local people have told us about.

Laugh everyday.  Happy trails.  Stay safe.

  2. We rewatched it on TV again...devastating...Our son, Kelly, happened to be here with me on 9/11/01 as Dennis was helping a friend build a house.. Kelly and I watched the whole thing unfold in horror. I was glad he was here. It was frightening enough to see our nation attacked so horrifically....So many firefighters and police lost , along with all of those souls in the towers....Lest we forget...
