1-29 Detours

Up and out of Montgomery City, Missouri by 9:30.  In our travels today we ran into some closed roadways due to the Missouri River flooding  (I-29).  The detours took us out of our way but the roads weren’t too bad.  We stopped at a rest area and John inquired about campgrounds along our route and was told that the roads were open but the campgrounds were closed due to flooding.  The worker at the rest area gave John the names of two campgrounds that were open.  We pulled in the first one, Arrowhead Lake campground in Neola, Iowa, a county park.  By this time it was after 5:00 p.m. so we were ready to stop anyway.  Our site is 30 AMP electric only but it will do for overnight.

Tomorrow we will be on the road again.

Laugh everyday.  Happy trails.  Stay safe.

  1. Looks like a nice park... We've used 30 many times but we really like 50amp. Have fun & Travel Safe
