Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all our family and friends.  Hope everyone had a wonderful day.  Mom Hatch, John and I had Thanksgiving dinner at Bob and Marcy's.   We had plenty of food and enjoyed spending time with family.

Rain and cold weather.

Not much going on around here but rain and cold weather.  Last night the low was 31 degrees.  That is just too cold for my blood. LOL

John has been working at the Renaissance Mall almost everyday since we got back home.

We have been able to see Ava a few times.  She is getting so big.

Mom Hatch spent the day with us on Tuesday.   Fred really enjoys the attention she gives him.

Hill Family Gathering

The weather was just perfect for our Hill Family Gathering.  We had lunch at the Picadilly Restaurant then went back to Mom and Dad's to visit.

Annie, Bobby Ray, Charlie Mac, Dad, me and Hannah.

It was so good to see everyone again.  We don't get the chance to get together with them very often so we really enjoyed our visit.

Veterans Day & a visit with Mom Hatch

Today we say thank you to all our Veterans, past and present.  Without their sacrifice we would not enjoy the many freedoms we have.  We salute them.

John picked up Mom Hatch and brought her to our place for a visit today.  So good to see her.

You can tell that Fred enjoyed the attention.

Happy Birthday Ava.

Today our granddaughter Ava is two years old.  It seems like yesterday she was just a tiny baby.  We had a birthday for her yesterday.   Ava is into Minnie and Mickey Mouse so her party was decorated with that theme.

Tonight we went to our friends Jimmy and Barbara's 60th Birthday party.  Great food, fun and lots of laughs.  We ended the night playing cards.

Staying busy.

The weather has been rather warm since we arrived back in MS with only a day or two with rain. I have enjoyed that.  John has been working at the Renaissance Mall regularly.

I finally got around to taking a picture of our site at Timberlake.
We were lucky to get a corner site.

Our granddaughter Ava will be having her birthday party this Saturday.  We have been busy getting party supplies and decorations together.  She has been sick this week with congestion, cough and a fever of 102.  The doctor said it was some type of 24 hour virus that had to run its course.  Hopefully she will feel better for her party.   She is into the Mickey and Minnie stuff so her party will have lots of that.  Of course there will be lots of picture taking.

Fred has been chilling out and adjusting to being back in Mississippi.  The other day there was another beagle running loose in park. He stopped by our lot just as I was taking Fred out.  He was a younger beagle and wanted to play.  He followed Fred and I around as we went on our walk.  Don't know where he came from and we haven't seen him since.

John worked at Renaissance yesterday from 7 to 3.  He made it home before the rain moved in.  I was in the mood for Chicken Piccata so that was "what's for dinner" at our house.

Chicken Piccata and Linguine with lemon butter sauce with a side of steamed kale.

We are expecting the temperatures to become cooler and possible cold over the next few days.  I am not looking forward to that.  Anyone who knows me knows I do not like cold weather.

We had a nice surprise when we checked our mail.  Blog follower Tanya from Missouri sent us a letter.  Thank you so much Tanya.  Your letter is very special to us.  Hopefully we will meet you in person down the road one day.

John back at Renaissance.

THURSDAY:

John started back working at the Renaissance Mall today.  He had the 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. shift.  That is so early but I know we will get used to it.

It rained all day today and into the night. We were lucky because there wasn't any lightening or thunder, just lots of rain.

FRIDAY:

John back at the mall 7:00 to 3:00 again today.   Sunny skies and warm temperatures.

My sister and I are helping Robert and Kelsey with planning Ava's birthday party.  Can't believe she will be two years old November 10th.

Ava enjoying a day at the park.

SATURDAY:

Annie, Mom and I went shopping for Ava's birthday gifts and some party decorations today.  We also went to Dillards to check out the sale on mens' shorts and shirts.  John was badly in need of some new ones and this was the best time to buy.  I got him six pair for $3.99 each.  What a bargain!  John was happy to get them.  He should be set for summer clothes.

Later tonight we went over to Bob and Marcy's for some card games.  As usual I got beat.

SUNDAY:

John was off today.  John, Fred and I went out to my sister's house to visit with her and Terry.   We don't get to see Terry much as he works crazy shifts at Nissan.  Their new dog Rimy is adjusting well and enjoying being spoiled by them.  Fred and Remy got along just fine.
