Woke up to the sound of rain. Uck! Not good traveling weather. Today Mike and Leslie left Mississippi and headed to their next destination. We really enjoyed their visit and will miss them. Safe travels to Mike and Leslie.
It rained on and off all day long so it was a good day to stay in and get the laundry done as well as other household chores. So much fun I can’t stand it. LOL

Today is Mike and Leslie’s last day in Mississippi. It seems like they just got here and tomorrow they will be leaving.
Tonight we grilled mini slider burgers for dinner. Of course we had all the great sides and some sautéed onions and mushrooms. Everything tasted great.
After dinner we all went over to Bob and Marcy’s for a few card games.

Looks at all those Jokers. What a hand!!! Bob had some of the best hands of the night. After playing a round of Golf we decided to play 10 Penny. It just wasn’t my night. I think I came in dead last. LOL We all had a great time and had lots of laughs.
Tomorrow Mike and Leslie will be leaving Mississippi to head to their next destination. We have really enjoyed their visit.

Still having nice weather. John works almost everyday at the mall. Sometimes he has an eight hour day and sometimes just five or six.
Yesterday and the day before I went over to Mom and Dad’s to pick pecans. They have five large trees and this year they have produced lots and lots of pecans. They have packaged the pecans in one gallon bags and lined them up along one side of the kitchen wall.
While John was at the mall I stayed at Mom and Dad’s. After picking up pecans we decided to play a few rounds of golf.

Not much going on around here. We have had fairly nice weather since we got back in Mississippi. Lately we have had temperatures in the 30s at night with high 50s in the day.
John had his physical last week and an ultrasound on his abdomen yesterday. He got the results back today. It seems he has a fat liver. Now all he has left is his colonoscopy. Oh happy happy joy joy. LOL
While John was off from the mall today he cleaned out a few cabinets and drawers. Isn't it funny how much stuff accumulates over time.
Later this afternoon we made a run to Wal-Mart for a few groceries and to get prescriptions filled. Dealing with insurance cards and Wal-mart is never fun for me. Our insurance provider changed and has caused a lot of confusion with my prescriptions. That is all I will say about that because the whole situation aggravates me. LOL

Ava is one year old today. Happy Birthday Ava. We attended a party for Ava at the home of Kelsey’s mom and dad. Ava received lots of wonderful gifts and really enjoyed eating her birthday cake. We loved watching her.

TUESDAY:
Up very early this morning to take John to work and to vote. Traffic was very heavy around the polling places. Nice to see people getting out to vote.
Later in the morning I received some very sad news. My former boss and friend, Ed Stevens passed away after a lengthy illness. He was a wonderful person who touched the lives of many. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
WEDNESDAY:
We had a special visitor today. Ava stayed with us while Robert and Kelsey were at work.

FRIDAY:
John at the mall from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. A long day. The mall is very busy and will continue to get busier as the holidays grow near. The decorations are already up.
Tonight I had dinner with my sister at her house. We had a good time watching a movie and catching up on things.
SATURDAY:
John at the mall 3:00 to 8:00 today. Mom, Annie and I went shopping. Ava’s 1st birthday is coming up on November 10th so we wanted to get her a few things. LOL I got her an outfit and of course a couple of toys.
We saw this VW bug in the mall parking lot. Thought the eyelashes were cute. LOL
Tonight was card night at Mom and Dad’s. When John got off a the mall he met me there for a round of golf. I actually won the game with a score of 10.

WEDNESDAY:
We arrived back in Mississippi on October 31st. The weather here is nice and warm. Temperatures in the 70’s ……... I am liking that.

THURSDAY:
John went to work at the Renaissance Mall today at 7:00 a.m. Wow….. getting up that early sure takes some getting used to. LOL Tonight we met Robert, Kelsey and Ava for dinner at Fenian’s Irish Pub in Jackson for dinner. Fenian’s is one of our favorite places. Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the food.
