Happy Birthday Mom Hatch

Today Mom Hatch is celebrating her 85th birthday today.  Happy Birthday Mom.  We love you.
Mom Hatch

Up early this morning and off to pick up Ava. Our time here is growing short so we wanted to spend some time with her while we can.  One of our stops was the Build-A-Bear workshop at the local mall.   After considering several options Ava finally chose just the right bear.

Ava with the bear she chose.  She and Peepaw waiting to get the bear filled.

Getting ready to step on the pedal.
Here we go.....

Ava picking out a  heart to put in her bear.

Here goes the heart.  Almost done.  We also put in a recording from John and I to Ava so she can hear it when she squeezes it.

The first hug.

After leaving the mall we met up with Annie (Nee Nee) for lunch then on to her office.  The ladies who work with Annie wanted to meet Ava so that was a perfect time. Our last stop was the RV.   Fred was so interested in Ava he followed her around.

Fred intently watching Ava.

John and Ava people watching.

Ava finishing off her dinner.

We enjoyed our day with Ava and are so glad we got to spend this time with her.  By the time we get back to Mississippi in a few months,  Ava and Shelby will probably be ready to go on some adventures.  It will be interesting. LOL

Remembering Dad Hatch on his birthday.

Today we remember Dad Hatch, as it would have been his 85th birthday.  Happy Birthday to you Dad.   I am sure you are smiling down at us.  We love and miss you everyday.

Now that our time here is growing short Annie and I have been cramming in all the activities that we can.  At lunch today Annie and I met one of our high school classmates, Alileen, for lunch.  We met at a local Mexican restuarant around 11:30 and didn't leave until 2:30.  It was a good thing they weren't real crowded. LOL  It was good to catchup.  We spent the rest of the day shopping and looking at stuff.

Tomorrow is the Daytona 500. WooHooo!!!

Laugh everyday.  Happy trails.  Stay safe.

My last day of work.

I can't believe my last day of work has arrived.  Where did the time go?  But time does move on and soon we will be on the road to Flovilla, GA to report for our volunteer position at Indian Springs State Park.

The ladies surprised me with lunch, gifts and a birthday cake.  Their thoughtfulness meant so much to me. It has been a privilege to work with such an awesome group of people.  I appreciate them allowing me into their workplace for such a short while. I will definitely miss them and plan to keep in touch.

The ladies of the offfice.  Thank you guys so much for everything.  You made my last day very special.

This was a very yummy cake.  Thank you Debbie.

Laugh everyday.  Happy trails.  Stay safe.

Visiting with Shelby and Ava

We had nice weather today; a high of 68 degrees and sunny skies.  I  hope this kind of weather hangs around for a while.

John had to work at the mall from 3 til 11 today so I went with Bob and Marcy to visit with baby Shelby and Ava today.  When we got there Annie and Terry had already arrived.

Aunt Nee Nee and Shelby
Nee Nee is already planning on how to spoil this one. LOL

We plan to go and visit again tomorrow.

Shelby is home.

The weather is improving......finally.  No rain today and warmer temperatures. If the weatherman is right we will have some 70 degree weather this weekend.  I am liking that.

Kelsey and baby Shelby went home from the hospital today.  John spent the afternoon with them and I went over after work to visit.  They are getting settled in.
Shelby chilling out at home.

New Grandbaby "Shelby" is here.

Up very early this morning and off to the Baptist Hospital to await the arrival of Shelby.  We didn't have long to wait because Kelsey had a scheduled C-Section.  Shelby Harper Hatch was born at 9:43 a.m., weighed 5 pounds 15 ounces and is 18 3/4 inches long.   She weighed exactly the same as Ava did.  Mom and baby are both doing well.  Of course we took lots of pictures.

Happy Birthday Bill.

Today John's brother Bill is celebrating his birthday.  Happy Birthday Bill.
Bill and Tambra

This morning when we all got to work there was no electricity on the first floor of our building.  That was not good for us because we work on the first floor.  While the problem was being fixed we were set up "temporarily" in a conference room on the third floor.
Laurie, Kathy and Debbie (These are the great ladies that I work with.)
Yesterday was Laurie's birthday so we celebrated today.  Debbie made a delicious lemon lime cake.  It was so good.

The electricity problem was fixed before noon and we moved back to our office.  Yeah!!!!

Tonight John and I met Bill and Tambra at Moss Creek Fish House.  Bill and Tambra live in Arkansas and we don't get to see them much so we enjoyed visiting with with them over dinner.  They were in town visiting a new grandbaby and a new great grandbaby.  Wow!  It seems like everyone around here is having babies.

Laugh everyday.  Happy trails.  Stay safe.

Dinner with Amy and Kay.

FRIDAY:

We have been so busy since we got back to Mississippi and, since I have been working, I haven't had a chance until now to meet up with some friends for dinner.

I met Amy and Kay at Logan's Roadhouse after work.  Since we arrived before 6:00 p.m. we were able to order from the early bird specials.  We had a great time catching up on everything.  After we had been there a couple of hours the restaurant became crowded so we moved outside to visit for a while longer.

Amy, Kay and me.

SATURDAY:

Annie and I went out for a little shopping today and, of course lunch.  We called John and he met us at Ichiban.  We have eaten there several times but this was the first time we were put on a waiting list. I guess lots of people had the same idea for lunch.  The stores were also a little crowded. Looked like everyone was taking advantage of the nice weather.    It was great to be outside without freezing and dressing in layers.   I think it got close 70 degrees.  I was liking that.

Tonight while John was working at Renaissance I went over to Mom and Dad's for some card games.  We were finishing up a round of golf when John stopped by and joined us for the last game.  As usual....John won.

This was one of his winning hands.

Rain in the forecast for tomorrow.  Fred won't like that.

Laugh everyday.  Happy trails.  Stay safe.
