Fred home from the vet.

Fred is home from his trip to the vet.  He had a bad tooth removed, a growth on his ear removed and a large growth on his paw removed where the toe nail had been pulled out when he jumped from the Freightliner last year.  The growth showed up in late October but started growing in November so the vet thought it best to remove it.  He sent it off for biopsy so we hope it is ok.

Fred is happy to be home and laying around on all his favorite spots.  Although, he doesn’t like the bandage on his foot too much.  Poor doggie.

Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas to all our family, friends and all military personnel.

We woke up to the sound of heavy rain and thunder.  Fred was not a happy camper.  It rained all morning and into the early afternoon with temperatures in the high 60’s.  The colder weather is coming tomorrow. Uck.    Around 10:00 John loaded up the Vitara and we headed over to Robert and Kelsey’s.   Kelsey had to work today but was able to get off around 3:00 in the afternoon.

Ava decided she wanted to sit at the big table and eat with Robert. LOL

After our big dinner it was time to play some cards. We played several rounds of golf.  Robert had never played before but ended up winning…..must have been beginners luck.

We had a wonderful day and enjoyed visiting with family.

Christmas Eve at Bob and Marcy’s.

Tonight we all gathered at Bob and Marcy’s for our annual Christmas Eve get together.  The weather was too warm to wear our Christmas sweaters.  The high today was 69 degrees.  Tomorrow the weather is supposed to change and turn much colder.  No wonder everyone around here has been sick.

Cooking all day.

John worked at the mall 10 to 6 today.  He has been working almost everyday this month.

I have been cooking all day.  This morning I made chicken salad for our family Christmas Eve party then I moved on to baking a pecan pie and a pumpkin pie then finally…..dressing for Christmas to take to Robert’s. I wanted to get a head start so I won’t have as much to do tomorrow.

Colder weather moving in.

We have enjoyed mostly sunny and warm weather since we arrived back in Mississippi……. until today.  Yesterday was short sleeves today is jackets.  Gotta love Mississippi weather. LOL

Last night John and I had dinner with the C-Shift guys at the Central Fire Station.    After dinner we played cards and  I was winning for a little while.   A big thank you to Nathan for the delicious enchiladas.

This morning we woke up to rain, falling temperatures and John’s very sore throat.  He went to work this afternoon but ended his day at the medical clinic.  Seems like he has the sinus crud like everyone else.  He got a shot and a Z-Pack.  Hopefully he will feel better tomorrow.

Moving.

This morning when John went to pay the lot rent for the month he found out there were a couple available spaces in the front of the park.   Yeah!!!!  The area we have been parked in is very noisy with lots of rowdy adults and kids.  By rowdy I mean adults yelling at each other and kids running through everyone’s lots.  Apparently, this group of campers are working in the area and will be here for a while.  Our spot was right in the middle of these people.   It got old real fast.  Needless to say, we moved before someone got the good spots.   By early afternoon we were really enjoying our new spot.

John worked at the mall today from 3 to 9.   Bob and Marcy came by and picked me up and we played a few rounds of cards.

Dad had a few great hands.

This hand won him the round.  LOL

The big winner of the night was Marcy with a total score of –31.  Wow!  What a score.  You know there has to be a rematch. LOL
