Trip to St. Augustine.
Monday a group of us went to St. Augustine to walk George Street and have lunch at Pizzalley’s Pizza. We ordered a pizza called the “garbage can” . It had everything on it and was very tasty.
Here it is ……the Garbage Can.
Elora enjoying her lunch.
John finishing off the last piece of pizza.
Now that everyone was full of pizza we decided to walk down George Street and browse the shops. Our last stop was the fudge shop. Of course we bought stuff in there. LOL
John and Brandy checking out a coin. He thought it was an old one at first.
John sharing a laugh in the fudge shop.
Tonight Renee prepared a dinner of chicken fettuccini Alfredo, salad and garlic bread. Thanks Renee for a very tasty dinner. After dinner we played a round of Chase the Ace. Alexis was the winner.

Work day.
The pantry was getting low so yesterday morning we made a grocery run. When we got back I started cooking. I cooked a gallon of spaghetti sauce with meat and a two pound meatloaf so I would have stuff in the freezer. Things like that come in handy when I have one of those “I don’t want to cook days.”LOL
Today was a work day for us. We got started at 9:00 and finished up around 3:00. Some of the restrooms needed heavy cleaning. I don’t think some of the weekly workers are cleaning them like they are supposed to or they wouldn’t be so nasty. Just my opinion. John went back around 5:00 and did a re-check on them. We also did the trash run today. There was lots of garbage.
We saw a black snake crossing the road but he was moving much to fast to get a picture. That is about the only wildlife we saw today with the exception of a few squirrels.
Tomorrow we will clean the restrooms again. Hopefully they won’t be as bad as today.

Defrosting the freezer.
We are still enjoying warm temperatures and sunny skies. It was 85 degrees this afternoon.
John defrosted the freezer this afternoon. The end of the month is here and we are running out of a lot of stuff. You know what that means…….a Wal-mart run. I think the Wal-mart run will wait until tomorrow. LOL
I thought I would post a few pictures of our grandbaby Ava. She is getting so big. Lucky for us Kelsey’s mom posts bunches of pictures on facebook. Gotta love facebook.

A walk in the park.
Warmer temperatures are back. Yeah!!! It climbed into the low 80s. Perfect weather for a walk in the park so we packed a lunch and took a hike.
The beginning of the ravine trail entrance.
John at the beginning of our walk.
Walkways on the ravine trail.
Strange looking trees.
One of the group pavilions in the day use area.
I just love this tree. Too cool looking to pass up taking a picture of it.
Don’t know what this is but I though it was pretty.
Don’t know what this is either.
Prickly pear.
Our walk was probably around 3 miles. We didn’t see any wildlife out today. Bummer! I wanted to get a picture of a fox squirrel, turtle and maybe a snake. I don’t want to get close to a snake but I would like to take a picture of one. LOL

Grilled carrots.
Still having cooler temperatures today. If the weatherman is correct the warmer temperatures will be back tomorrow. The high is supposed to be 83 and that is ok by me. LOL Not much going on today but laundry and stuff like that.
Tonight John grilled some carrots to go with the baked tilapia and pasta I cooked for dinner. It was very tasty. Never thought about grilling carrots until a fellow work camper told us about them.

Memorial Service
John and I drove over to St. Petersburg this morning to attend a memorial service for our friend Kevin Sullivan and other veterans that have served our country. It was a very nice service with lots of people in attendance. It was so good to see Arlene and to meet Anna. After the service we were invited to share a meal and fellowship with Arlene’s friends who live in the area. We enjoyed meeting them also and appreciated their hospitality.

Work day today.
This was our first day with the new work assignment. I will just say that it was a long day. I am sure we will find a way to streamline some of the things on our list. We didn’t see any snakes today. Yeah!!
We finished up late this afternoon, got a shower and then were off to the Strawberry Festival in Stark. When we arrived most of the vendors had closed and some were in the process of closing. It is a two day event but today the rain caused them to close early. Oh well we didn’t get to enjoy the festival but the area did get some much needed rain.

Happy Birthday Theresa.
Today our God daughter, Theresa is celebrating her 30th birthday. Happy birthday Theresa.
Theresa
Not much going on around here today. There aren’t many campers in the park so it is very quiet. Tomorrow John and I will start our new work assignment. It shouldn’t take us very long to clean the areas because there are so few campers here. We might even get a chance to drive over to Stark and go to the Strawberry Festival. The locals say it is the place to get the best strawberries.
Fred says hello to everyone out there. LOL

Adam’s Rib Co.
This is at the ladies bath house.
Fred was his usual self today…..hoping to get a taste of people food.
Fred patiently watching John eat a bowl of cereal wanting a taste.
Fred finally looks over at me. Looks like he might be thinking…..ok I am still here….please give me a taste. LOL
We finally got some rain today. Yeah!! This area really needs it. It didn’t rain long very long and the ground sucked it up like a sponge.
Tonight we rode over to the School of Massage in Gainesville for our massage appointments. Both of us had an hour massage for $45.00 total. Now that’s a deal. After leaving the School of Massage it was dinner time. John pulled into Adam’s Rib Co. One of the locals in Keystone Heights told him how good their BBQ is so you know we had to try it. Anybody who knows John knows he loves him some BBQ.
John’s plate.
John and his bowl of banana pudding. Ribs and banana pudding makes John a happy man. LOL
The food was quite tasty and the service was excellent.

Great news for Sandie.
Monday we received word that our sister-in-law, Sandie got a great report on her test. She has been undergoing radiation treatments and will be finished soon. We are so thankful she got good news.
Up early this morning to help clean cabins with Pat. We had seven to clean today so it was a full day. This was my last day helping Pat. I have enjoyed working with her and I am sure I will see her around the park. John and I will be working together on the weekends cleaning all the bath houses and checking fire pits on all the camp sites as well as a few other miscellaneous duties. John had his usual campground loop to check and bath house to clean. He will do that until we change over on Saturday.

Happy Birthday Annie.
My sister Annie is celebrating a birthday today. Happy Birthday Annie. Hope you have a great day today.
Annie.
This afternoon after John was finished making his rounds through the park we packed the Vitara and headed to his brother Harold’s house for the weekend. This will be our last weekend free for a few weeks. Our work assignment a the park will be changing and we will be working only on Saturday and Sunday.
We managed to get in a round of 10 Penny tonight and…….Harold as the winner! I think we need a rematch. LOL
