Cradlepoint

I worked the mall today 7a-1p then headed home to call Cradlepoint. The new Cradlepoint they sent was not the one I had so they are shipping another one. Bridget had a doctors appointment with her dermatologist for 3p, all is well. Just finished watching American Idol. Not a whole lot going on.
Weather guessers on the 9pm news are saying we may get up to 3-6" in Jackson Thursday night and Friday.

Crystal Springs

John worked part of the day at the mall then got off early and headed over to Crystal Springs to install a new microwave/convection oven for his mother.  One of the firefighters, Russell, went with him to help with the installation and also to look at the leaking roof over their storage room.

I polished furniture and got the laundry done while John was away. In between the household chores I worked out with the Wii Fit Plus.  I feel muscles that I forgot I had. LOL

I talked to my friend Leslie today who has been feeling poorly.  I am so glad to hear that she is feeling better. Sure hope we will be able to see all our RV buddies real soon.

Leftover BBQ Ribs

John at the FD for a 24 hour shift today. :(    No news from the house showings over the weekend except that someone will be looking at the house again for a second time this Saturday.  :)  We are keeping our fingers crossed.

I brought John some leftover BBQ ribs, potato salad and beans for dinner and stayed to play a round of 10 Penny with the guys.  It is always good entertainment.

Super Bowl Sunday

The super bowl is about the only football game we watch all year. Bob, Marcy, Robert and Kelsey came oven to watch the game and eat. I made ribs along with habanaro chicken wings, deer sausage, and baked beans. Bridget made potato salad and deviled eggs. The house with the exception of Marcy were cheering for the Saints and were happy with the outcome. It was a great game.
Today was basically a stay at home day with one Walmart trip thrown in.

Casino Fun

Today, Annie, Terry, Bob, Marcy, John and I went to the Silver Star Casino as a birthday gift to Marcy. We had lunch at the casino’s buffet and gambled a little. Unfortunately, John had to leave early to work at the mall. :( His work is never done!!! I know he wants to retire soon.

Another realtor called today and someone looked at the house. Hope someone makes an offer soon. We are keeping our fingers crossed.

Happy Birthday Marcy

Yesterday John worked at the FD for a 24 hour shift. My sister, Annie and I spent the day with our Mom and Dad, Marcy and Bob as it was Marcy’s birthday.

A realtor called and showed the house yesterday afternoon. Yeah!!

My Wii Fit Plus package came in the mail today so after bringing John dinner to the FD I went back home to set it up. I worked out for a while and completely forgot to do the blog. Shame on me!!!!

We received a request from someone who read our blog who wants my Turkey Meatloaf Recipe. Sorry it took so long. I got carried away on the Wii Fitness exercise stuff. Here is the recipe:

Bridget’s Turkey Meatloaf

2 lbs. ground turkey
1 large onion chopped
1 bell pepper chopped
½ cup parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic
1 pkg. Lipton Onion Soup Mix
¼ tsp Cumin
¼ tsp Basil
¼ tsp Allspice
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
Dash of ketchup

3 slices of wheat bread toasted and made into bread crumbs
1 egg

Saute onion and peppers until tender. Mix all ingredients together and form into a loaf. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Top with ketchup and bake for 10 more minutes.

Turkey Meatloaf Again!

John off today. Yeah!!! Rain, rain, rain…..all day long. It is supposed to be gone tomorrow.

John made apple pancakes for breakfast. They were yummy. Later on we made a Wal-Mart run for groceries. Since it was a rainy day with not much to do I decided I would cook my spaghetti meat sauce and another turkey meatloaf. I freeze the spaghetti sauce for later so I can pull it out when I don’t feel like cooking or don’t have alot of time. John liked the turkey meatloaf I cooked the other night so much that I cooked another one. He was happy. LOL

Tomorrow is my mom, Marcy’s birthday so I am baking a birthday cake tonight for her.

Happy Birthday Bill

Home from the FD, off from mall today and tomorrow. Today is my brother Bill's birthday, Happy birthday Bill. We called him this morning, he works on the Mississippi River running barges up and down. He happened to be off and at home. He lives in Waldron, AR with his wife Tambra. He said they have gotten snowed on over the last few weeks. They are both fine which was good to hear.

Got our tax stuff together, waiting on one item for Bridget's retirement income. They said it was mailed last Thursday, hopefully it will arrive tomorrow.

Bank and credit union errands and ordered a convection oven for my mom's house, it will be here Tuesday.

The Cradlepoint shipped out today. Bridget and I are sharing the aircard until we get the new CP, should arrive Friday.

Tomorrow we have a 100% chance of rain.

More 10 Penny

John at the FD for a 24 hour shift today. :(  The temperatures are warmer today with no rain.  The weather man says the rain be coming our way by Thursday at the latest.

I cooked golden mushroom chicken for dinner and rode over to the fire station to bring it to John.  As usual, we ended up playing a round of 10 Penny.

On my way home I stopped off to see Bob and Marcy and we decided to play a round of 10 Penny also.  I lost really bad. LOL

Turkey Meatloaf

John at the mall to day 3 to 11. :(  Temperatures were warmer today but the rain moved in this afternoon…. just enough to make the roads messy.

Received a call from my sister Annie this afternoon.  Her husband Terry got ready to go to to work at Nissan for his 3 to 11 shift and his truck would not start.  She had to leave work and give him her car so I drove over to her house to give her a ride back to work.  Later I went back and picked her up from work and invited her to eat dinner with us.  We had turkey meatloaf, brown rice and green beans.  It was quite tasty. We are trying to eat healthier so we are eating more turkey and less red meat these days.
