Enjoying Vermont.

We arrived in Essex Junction Vermont on July 9th.  We have been working on Parking Team stuff and doing a little sightseeing.

This has been our temporary site for the past week and half.  Tomorrow we will move to the area where the parking team will be parked.

We have enjoyed several happy hours and group dinners with other Escapee members.  This is such an awesome group of people.

Molly, Bob, Duane, Jean, Terry and Rick.
Roger and Barb.
Terry, Rick, Howie, Norah, John and Lora.
Burgers and Brats....Yummy.

Ok, I think it will work. LOL

Last Friday we met up with fellow RVers Jim and Linda whom we had not seen in seven years.  We drove to Middlebury and had lunch with them.  So good to see them and catch up.   Safe travels Jim and Linda. We hope to see them again real soon.  Seven years was too long.

Jim and Linda.

Sunday, Roger and Barb joined John and I on a road trip to Stowe, VT.  The scenery is just beautiful here. On our list of stops was Von Trapp Family Lodge, the Ben & Jerry's Factory, Morse Maple Farm and lunch at The Blue Donkey.

Von Trapp Family Lodge.

The grounds of the lodge is beautifully manicured.  Lots and lots of flowers.

The family cemetery on the grounds.

The line at Ben & Jerry's was so long we decided not to stay.  We toured the "Flavor Graveyard" and took a few photos then proceeded on our way to lunch at the Blue Donkey.

Lunch. The burger was good but needed more seasoning.

Yesterday we had thunderstorms on and off all afternoon.  We were without power for a little while.  Today we had cooler temperatures and no rain.  John and Roger worked on marking the areas for parking RVs and finishing up a sign for the entrance to the expo grounds.

It will be an early day tomorrow.  We have to be up and ready to work for 7:30 a.m.  Only 21 rigs arriving tomorrow, mostly advanced Parking Team Staff.

Laugh everyday.  Happy trails.  Stay safe.

  1. I think you've seen more of Vermont than we have! It was good seeing the two of you. Have fun with the rally and we'll see you down the road

  2. It's triple digits here in E TX. Wish we were there. Hopefully the next one. Good Luck with the parking.
