The Fortress of Louisbourg.

Today we toured the Fortress of Louisbourg located on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.   The Fortress is a National Historic Site of Canada and is a partial reconstruction of an 18th century French Fortress. The staff at the fortress were dressed in clothes of that time period.  A very interesting place to visit.  So glad we went.

The Fortress.
The grounds inside the fortress.

The Church inside the fortress.

The boatbuilder's shop.
Making lace.

Getting ready to march to fire the cannon at the end of the day.

There is a lot to see at the fortress. If you love history this place will fascinate you.

Our plan for tomorrow is to drive the Cabot Trail.  The weather forecast shows sunny skies so it should be a perfect day for that.

Laugh everyday.  Happy trails.  Stay safe.
