Natural Mineral Springs.

This morning John and I went up to the office and met with the ranger to get the official overview of our work assignment. We also got some volunteer shirts, caps and water bottles.

The park has one of the few remaining natural mineral springs located at the front entrance. Everyday people come and fill containers. We have spoken to several people who drink this water regularly and they swear it makes them feel better. Don’t know about that. We have not tried it yet.

Later in the afternoon we went for a drive and stopped at a grocery store in Monticello, GA for something to grill for dinner. The weather was just perfect for cooking out.

Grilled squash and rib-eye steaks. Very Tasty.

Laugh everyday. Happy trails. Stay safe.

  1. Your dinner looks yummy...love anything cooked on a grill. Be careful drinking the mineral water. If you change your water supply too quickly you may not like the result lol!!

  2. Love the grilled squash and steak...It's been raining here for 2 days, so it's crockpot chicken today.

  3. Ha! When I first saw the grill I thought you were having grilled sole of shoe. :) I've never had grilled squash...

    So, what are your duties?
