Lobster Fest and on to Canada.

We left Norridgewock, ME on August 8th and traveled to Hermon, ME to attend Lobster Fest. That night a large group of us went to dinner at Angler's Steak and Seafood Restaurant.  The food was very good as well as the service.  The entertaining part came with dessert.  Steve Allgire and Duane Mathes ordered the Grape Nut Custard.  Duane loved his and savored every bite.  Steve, on the other hand, did not.  It was too funny.  After Steve made such a face when tasting it, Molly had to taste it.  Well, as they say, a picture paints a thousand words.

Steve going in for a taste of his custard.
His reaction. (He said it tasted like custard with soggy Grape Nuts cereal mixed together.)
Oh no she took a big spoonful.....
and you can tell she didn't like it either.  The look on Steve's face says, "See, I told ya."

Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of Duane enjoying his.  On the last day of Lobster Fest Steve presented Duane with a special gift.

His very own box of grape nuts. There is always mischief and laughing going on with this group.

Before the rally started John and I joined Molly and Bob on a road trip to Acadia National Park.

John and me.

During the Lobster Fest there were lots of laughter, great food and travel information swapping.  Two other couples will be traveling into Canada around the same time we are.  We hope to meet up with them somewhere along the way.

Here are few pictures from the lobster dinner we had at the rally.

Shucking corn.
Now that's a lot of corn.
Look at those lobsters.
Time to eat.
My plate.

Much too soon it was time to say our "see ya laters".  Monday we left Hermon and traveled to Pembroke, ME and overnighted at a city park at the Reversing Falls.  We spent the afternoon sitting on the rocks watching the tide change.

A very beautiful and peaceful place.

Yesterday we made our way into Canada.  I went through and waited for John.  It didn't take very long as they didn't search anything.  Yeah!!

I snapped this photo while waiting in line at the gate.

We arrived at Fundy National Park around 4:00 p.m.  Nice park.

Our site.

One of the views from the campground.  As you can see this is low tide.

After getting all settled in we went into town to sightsee.  We stopped and walked around at Bay of Fundy.

After finishing our walk we went in search of supper.  We stopped at Alma Boathouse Restaurant and had seafood chowder.  The food was very good but the service was a little slow.

This morning we packed some snacks and headed out to tour the area.  It rained on and off all day long but we were able to get out and about.
The landscaping is just beautiful around the park area.

A few from the village of Alma.

Across the street from Bay of Fundy.

Traffic stopped for a group of horseback riders.

Tomorrow will be a travel day for us.  We will be moving on to Tignish.

Laugh everyday.  Happy trails.  Stay safe.
