Marcy still in hospital; Lunch with Charlotte & Horses.

Up early to temperatures in the 20s…..OH NO!!!!  I am not liking that and neither is Fred.  When I took him out this morning he could not wait to get back inside. LOL   I took a few pictures while I was out.

002

The freightliner had a little bit of snow and ice on it.

003

This is what our snow looked like.

004 It is mostly frozen patches of light snow. LOL

John and I met my good friend Charlotte for lunch. Charlotte and I have known each other since we were 12 years old and riding that big yellow school bus.  She has always been there for me through the good, the bad and the ugly.   It was really good to see her and catch up.  She will be retiring this month and I wish her all the best.

007 Charlotte and me.

After lunch I got my drivers license renewed.  Finally!  I have been putting it off.  Don’t know why.  I just seem to always have something else I would rather do. LOL

Our next stop was to visit Marcy at the hospital.  The doctor is keeping her for another day.  Hopefully she will be able to go home tomorrow.

On the road to the campground the traffic came to stand still.  We saw police lights flashing and thought it was an accident of some sort but were surprised to see it was no accident but an escort for a wagon train.  Yep….that’s right…a wagon trail with real horses on a busy street.  John read that the wagon train riding into Jackson is an annual tradition to kick off the Dixie National Rodeo.  Since we were stopped for them to pass I got some pictures.  You never know what you will see on the road.

Marcy out of surgery and doing well.

Marcy came through surgery and is resting and doing well.  Thanks for all the prayers.  Hopefully she will be going home tomorrow.

Late this afternoon the snow finally started falling.  As the temperature fell the snow started to stick.  That lasted for around 45 minutes then stopped.  There was just enough to say we had gotten some snow. LOL   I took a few pictures of the snow falling from inside the doorway of our RV.

Bob wins big at 10 Penny

Up early this morning…..again!! For some odd reason I woke up before 8:00. What is up with that? LOL I had a hair appointment at 9:45 so John dropped me off and ran some errands.

This afternoon John cleaned out the Freightliner and loaded up the new tool boxes while I went shopping at Kohl’s with Marcy.

Tonight John and I ate at Applebee’s then went over to Bob and Marcy’s for some 10 Penny. Marcy won the first round with a score of 75 and Bob came in second with a score of 80. It was a narrow victory. Bob won the second round with a score of 90! The victory was a landslide as the rest of us had scores in the 200s. He was so happy he finally won a game. Bob said to tell Speedy (Joe) he finally kicked some butt at 10 Penny. LOL

Marcy has bladder surgery tomorrow morning. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Pressure-Washed RV and Lunch with Friends.

Got up early this morning…..7:00 a.m.  Not used to that. LOL  Firefighter Steve Dedman came by to pressure wash the RV before we head off on our travels next week.  He did a great job.  Thanks Steve.

John and I met some friends and some of my former TSC coworkers for lunch at Cock of the Walk Restaurant.  The restaurant is known for their catfish, mustard greens and cornbread.  I was glad to see they had a vegetable plate on the lunch menu because I really wanted to stick close to my diet.  We had a great time but I was so busy visiting I forgot to take any pictures.  Duh!

The temperatures were in the 40s today but very windy.  After lunch it was back to the RV.  John took him a nap and I worked out on the Wii.

The weatherman is saying we might get some snow Wednesday night.  I will believe it when I see it. LOL

63 degrees today!!!!!

Woke up to warmer temperatures and sunshine. Yeah!!!! Finally. It got up to 63 degrees today. John was in his shorts, t-shirt and flip flops. That is is favorite attire. LOL

Since it was such a nice day outside we were not going to waste it. John went and visited the guys at the 4 fire stations today. Today was fire fighter Marc Moore’s birthday. Happy Birthday Marc. He was off today visiting relatives back in KY.

Annie came by and picked me up and we went to lunch at Zaxby’s and shopping. Of course we ended up at Kohl’s. Just had to see what was on sale. LOL

John’s niece, Shannon, in Ohio, and her two children were in a car wreck earlier today. They went to the hospital to be checked out but thankfully they are all ok.

The weatherman just announced more nasty cold weather is coming our way again. Bummer!!!

If our Jello plans don't change we will be hitching up and pulling out on the 14th heading to Beaumont, TX.

Rainy day and 10 Penny.

Woke up to a cold rainy day.  The good news is…..it got up to 38 degrees today.

John and I ventured out later in the morning for my doctor appointment and to run some errands.

After dinner we went over to Bob and Marcy’s for a couple rounds of 10 Penny.  Marcy won the first round with a score of 60 but cards weren’t so kind to the rest of us.  Bob scored 465, John 385 and me a 185.  On the second round John and Bob fared better.  John won with a score of 40 and Bob came in second with 110.  Marcy and me, well…..she had 200 and I came in dead last with 270.  Oh well, better luck next time. LOL

Happy Birthday Bill

Today was John's brother Bill's birthday. Happy Birthday Bill!! We will be stopping off at his place in Arkansas on our way up to Indiana in March. Mom Hatch will be at Bill and Tambra's house for a visit.

Up early this morning and off to our eye doctor appointments. Luckily we got all our running around done before the worst weather moved in. It has been below freezing most of the day and sleeting on and off.

Several accidents were reported late this afternoon as people made their way home from work. Sadly, one fatality was reported. Some people experienced a three hour delay. I sure wish this cold icy stuff would go away.

Fred is not liking the ice at all. He decided the best place to be was in his bed behind John’s chair …..where it is nice and warm. LOL

Cold weather still here.

Not much going on here but COLD weather. It did not get above 32 degrees here today. Tonight it is going down into the mid 20's. The weatherman just forecasted possible sleet for tomorrow. I guess we can dream of warmer weather. LOL

We went over to Bob and Marcy’s tonight for a couple rounds of 10 Penny. Marcy won the first round and John won the second. I think we need another rematch.

Laugh everyday. Happy trails. Stay safe.

Border's, WM and Air Cards

Woke up to temps in the upper 50's/low 60's. It lasted until 4 pm then the temp started dropping to the 30's by 7pm and an overnight low in the mid 20's. BLAH!! After the bad weather, winds and rains passed we made a trip to Border's so they could show Bridget how to download books to her Kobo, from there we headed out to Walmart for a grocery run. That about sums up our day.

Plan on heading out to TX mid February then North to the DRV plant for warranty work.

We also received emails and comments about our 20G air card. Here is the lowdown. It is through Millenicom and they offer 20G and Unlimited plans. The 20G is Verizon and the unlimited is Sprint. We have Verizon now and enjoy the coverage so we went with the 20G plan. We cannot tell a difference between what we had and what we have now other then the price decrease. We have a Cradlepoint PHS300 wireless router and the Millenicom air card (Novatel U760 Device) works with our PHS300 and also has an external antenna port. Hope this answers your questions about our new air card.
