Sodbuster Days

Up early this morning to host the "Coffee with the Campground Host".  Several people stopped by to visit and have some coffee.  Temperatures were in the 70s with a slight breeze.  It was a good day for the Sodbuster Days event.

The campground is full with Sodbuster workers and attendees for the event.   John and I made the rounds through the park to check the sites of the two people who left today.  Afterwards John spent the afternoon watering the roads to keep the dust down.

I snapped a few pictures of the area where all the events were going on.

Horse driven shuttle service to the parking lot.

The parking lot was beginning to fill up before noon.

One of the shuttles.
Covered wagon at the calvary encampment area.
Calvary encampment area.

Late this afternoon they had the National Anthem Cannon Volley.  Poor Fred was not a happy camper. The noise of the cannons going off really did an number on him.   He was back to his normal self after all the noise stopped.

Tomorrow will be another day of Sodbuster events.  John will probably be watering the roads again tomorrow.....if it does not rain.

Laugh everyday.  Happy trails.  Stay safe.

  1. It's suppose to be hot here the next couple days. I am ready for Fall and the color change. If we gotta hang around here, might as well enjoy the change in color!
