Around 2:30 a.m. we woke up to thunder, lightening and rain. This is the first significant rain we have had since we arrived here. John won't need to water the roads today. Yeah!
The campground looked like a ghost town this morning. Most of the campers who attended or worked at Sodbusters left yesterday afternoon. We made our rounds checking and cleaning the sites and fire rings and also the trash run. Surprisingly, after such a large event and a full park, there wasn't much to clean up.
TUESDAY:
Today is one of our days off. As usual we rode into Fargo for the weekly grocery run. Our first stop in Fargo was the visitor center. The wood chipper from the movie Fargo is displayed there. We have seen the movie numerous times and wanted to see the display. All these years we thought the movie was based on real life events but the employees said that was not true. We had our picture made with the wood chipper with hats supplied by the visitor center.
The Coen brothers, Joel and Ethan, who wrote, produced and directed the movie autographed this wood chipper.
After leaving the visitor center we were hungry so we decided it was lunchtime. The park employees suggested we try JL Beers. That sounded good to us so off we went. They serve hand made burgers and fries. It was quite tasty.
Laugh everyday. Happy trails. Stay safe.
