Mingus Mountains

Later in the morning Molly called invited us to go to lunch with her and Bob.  They wanted to try out a local place called Verde Lea Market.  The locals say they have the best Tortas among other things.  It is a very unique place that combines a market with a grill.  John decided to try the famous Verde Lea Torta.    He said it was delicious and would definitely eat that again.  As we all sat there finishing our meals John noticed there was a Torta Challenge.  The reigning champ holds the record by eating 6 Tortas.  I was hoping John wasn’t considering doing it. LOL   If you are ever in this area check them out.

After lunch John and I went riding through the Mingus Mountains.  Most of the roads were rock and dirt and we had to use the 4-wheel drive.  It was a nice drive but the best scenery was at the end of our drive when were almost to Jerome.  Beautiful scenery.

Tomorrow we plan to go to Sedona with Bob and Molly to meet up with Ginger and Jesse.  We are looking forward to that.

Laugh everyday.  Happy trails.  Stay safe.

  1. We have been trying to decide whether to go east or west next winter. Looking at the pictures you are sending us we are leaning toward the west. It sure looks pretty out there and it seems you are really enjoying it.
