Visit to Cibola National Forest

Up early this morning…..around 6:30 a.m. Is that crazy or what? I think it is because of the time zone difference. The temperatures were in the low 50’s this morning. A very nice change.

John cooked waffles for breakfast then we got ready and headed out to Wal-mart to pick up our monthly prescriptions. The experience at Wal-mart this time was a good one. I was surprised because the usual Wal-mart pharmacy experience has me fuming. LOL

After lunch John and I drove up into the Sandia Mountains to the Cibola National Forest to sight see and get some pictures. When we got to the top there was a nice look out spot for taking pictures.

015 After taking these photos we walked over to the gift shop and snack bar. As we sat on the balcony outside the snack bar we noticed several humming bird feeders. Pretty soon the little birds started flocking to the feeders so it was picture time again.

I zoomed in as close I could but we were already standing against the railing where the feeders were so this picture came out very clear.

John was actually able to touch one of the hummingbirds. I tried to get a picture of that but this is all I could get. The bird is kind of blurry.

After an enjoyable afternoon at Cibola National Forest we returned to the camper to chill out.

Oh, I found Sockey the Sock Monkey hanging out in the truck. I guess he wants to drive it now. Silly Monkey. LOL

Thanks to everyone who posted comments on the eReaders. I appreciate the information very much. It will help me in making my decision.

Laugh everyday. Happy trails. Stay safe.

  2. Don't do it, John! That bird is either going to peck your finger off, or poop on it :)

    Looking great Bridget!
