New air card.

No rain today. Yeah!!!!!  John ran a few errands this morning one of which was to pick up our new 20 gig air card.  Our old one was a 5 gig but lately we have been going over so he ordered a new one.

John took some more pictures of the truck.  These pictures probably look better because the truck has been washed and is all clean and shiny.

John in the kitchen.

Woke up to the sounds of rain falling. Bummer!!!!  It has rained all day long.  But that did not stop Annie and I from getting out and shopping. We asked John if he wanted to tag along but he declined. LOL

We ran out of our Kashi oatmeal cookies that we eat for a snack so John found a healthy recipe online to try.

Cookout at Annie and Terry’s.

Woke up to nice warm sunny weather. It got up into the low 70s today. Now this is my kind of weather. Seems like everyone in the park was out and about today enjoying the sunshine.

Later this afternoon John and I picked up Bob and Marcy and headed over to Annie and Terry’s for a cookout. We had grilled burgers, chicken, baked beans, corn and fruit salad. Everything was very tasty. Thanks Annie and Terry for a nice dinner.

New Truck Bed Pictures

Up before 8 this morning.  What is up with that? LOL  I guess the time change between TN and MS had us messed up.  The weather was great today with temperatures in the high 60’s.  I could really get used to this.

John managed to get a few pictures of the new truck bed.  The tool boxes on the sides are large.  So large in fact John said if I don’t act right he could lock me in one. LOL

Oh look…Sockey the Sock Monkey is trying to get in the picture.

Tonight John, Annie and I had dinner at Cool Water Cafe.  John had the salad bar and Annie and I ordered the grilled lime catfish  with two sides.  John really enjoyed his salad but we were a little disappointed with our meal.  One of the sides was so spicy it just ruined it.  Oh well I bet I won’t order that again. LOL

After dinner we went over to Bob and Marcy’s and played a couple rounds of 10 Penny.  John won both rounds.  I think we need a rematch.  LOL

Back in MS.

Up early this morning and out of the park a little after 8 a.m. About a mile up the road John pulled off because he remembered we had not checked the lights. Some of them were not working correctly so we went back to Bull Head for some help. We arrived at Bull Head and within minutes we were on our way.

We drove straight through and made it back to MS around 5:30 p.m. and got set up at Timberlake Campground. By this time we were starving so we decided to go to Cool Water Cafe and have the salad bar. It was very tasty.

After dinner we stopped by Bob and Marcy’s for a visit. Bob hasn’t been feeling well lately and is having tests run. While there we played a couple rounds of 10 Penny. John won the first round with a score of 55 and Marcy won the second with a score of 80. We will be having a rematch soon. LOL

Since it was so dark when we got home we weren’t able to get more pictures of the truck bed to post. Hopefully we will post some soon.

Snow and the New Truck Bed

Woke up to a very rainy day. Uck! Later in the morning it started snowing but did not stick. I tried to get some pictures of it but they did not turn out too well.

005

This afternoon John and I went pick up the Freightliner. When we arrived at Bull Head, they were putting the finishing touches on it. John took a few pictures with his phone but will get some more later.

New faucet installed.

Woke up this morning to the sound of light rain and temperatures in the 40s.  A bit warmer but tomorrow will bring possible snow and temps in the 30s.

John drove over to RVs for Less to pick up our new faucet for the kitchen sink.  It has been leaking and has gotten steadily worse, so much so that it had to be replaced before our appointment at the plant in March.  After lunch John installed the new one.  No more leaks…..Yeah!!! He is so handy.    Like our friends Joe and Sherri say, John is handier than a pocket on a shirt. LOL

Tonight John cooked a pot of chili for dinner.  It tasted great.  Thanks John for a great tasting meal.

Freightliner to Bullhead Products

John was up early and off to Bullhead Products to drop off the Freightliner for the new truck bed.  It may take a couple of days unless they run into problems.  John remembered to get some “before” pictures.

Trip to Gatlinburg.

Up around nine today.  Wow, an hour earlier than yesterday. LOL  It is a little warmer today.  Yeah!!!  I took Fred on his morning outing and he was so happy to see the red ball again.

004

Fred playing with the red ball again…..

and again.

006

It looks like he is thinking……”go ahead and try to take my red ball.  I dare you.” LOL

Later this afternoon John and I drove into Gatlinburg for some sightseeing.  We were hoping the Christmas lights were still up because in the past they were so spectacular.  We notice there were lights up but not near the scale as in the past.  We were a little disappointed.  It has been more than 10 years since were here so there were a bunch of changes   Gatlinburg has become almost as commercial as Branson, MO.

007

John saw the tram coming into the station and was able to snap this picture.

Before heading back to the campground we decided to find a place to eat.  We saw an interesting placed called the  Bullfish Grill and pulled in there.  John had the grilled pork chop, salad and sweet potatoes, and I had the grilled shrimp with pineapple salsa, salad and steamed carrots.   It was so good.

013

This was across the street from the restaurant.  I thought the lights were cool looking so I snapped a picture of it.  I like the blue tree.

Tomorrow we will be taking the Freightliner to get the new truck bed installed. Yeah!!

Fred and the red ball.

Got up after 10:00 this morning.   Even Fred slept late.  I guess we are all getting lazy or …..staying in out of the cold weather. LOL

After we got up and got motivated John cooked banana berry pancakes.  They were very good.  I took Fred over to the dog run so he could play and take care of business.  Here are a few pictures of Fred’s adventure today.

Raccoon Valley RV Park

Up around 9, had breakfast, then it was off to TN.  We made it to Raccoon Valley RV Park at 2:30.  It is COLD here.  It was in the mid 30s when we got here and is supposed to drop into the 20s tonight.  I want some warmer weather.

Travel Day.

Today was travel day for us.  We got a late start today and did not leave MS until after 10:30.  The trip was uneventful and we made it to Wills Creek RV Park in Fort Payne, AL.  We arrived after dark so it was a good thing the sites are pull-thrus.

Tomorrow we will travel on to TN.

Happy Birthday Kelsey.

Happy Birthday to our wonderful daughter-in-law Kelsey.  She is 24 years young today.

Today was spa day for Fred.  We dropped him off at a place called Puppy Suds in Madison.  He went there when we were here in August and liked the service and the price.  Fred really likes his spa days. LOL

DSCN0002

Fred really is very spoiled.

Tonight we met our son Robert and daughter-in-law Kelsey at one of their favorite restaurants, EDO Japanese Restaurant.  Robert and Kelsey ordered sushi, John ordered some sushi and hibachi chicken and I had the hibachi shrimp.  The food was excellent   We enjoyed our visit with Robert and Kelsey very much.

The rain came back!  What is up with that?  Fred was not a happy camper when he went outside to take care of his business. LOL

112       Fred waiting for the rain to stop.

We did not leave the park today but I did get my Wii workout done. Yeah!!!!  John got an afternoon nap in so he was happy. LOL

The new truck bed is ready and has been scheduled for installation on Monday.  The weather in MS is supposed to get bad again on Friday so it looks like we may head up to TN on Thursday and miss it.

Kobo eReader

60 degrees today and no rain. Yeah!!!!  I could get used to this. LOL

When I checked my email this morning I had a sales email from Borders Bookstore.  The one they usually send with the new book releases and such.  I noticed they had the Kobo eReaders on sale for $99.00 with a $40.00 coupon and Borders Rewards card.  My sister bought one last month and really liked hers.  I have been looking at eReaders for a while and decided today was the day.  John and I went out after lunch to pick up my prescription from Wal-mart and then went over to Borders.

021 Here it is.  Know I have to learn how to use it.

After our shopping trip it was time to cook dinner. Tonight we had chicken breasts sautéed’  in olive oil, yellow peppers, red onions and lemon grass with brussel sprouts and corn.  I had some left over rice so I served the chicken over it.

002

Later on tonight we went over to Bob and Marcy’s for some 10 Penny.  I won two rounds and Marcy won one.  I think the men would like a rematch.
