Bye, Bye Snow.

A year ago today we were signing papers on the sale our house.  It doesn’t seem like it has been that long.

When we got up this morning the snow was already beginning to melt.  By mid morning there were only traces of it left. Bye, bye snow.

This afternoon it got into the mid 40s.   I’ll take that over 20s and 30s any day.  On my walk around the park today I noticed a few new RVs in the park and several people out enjoying the warmer temperatures.

Tomorrow will be travel day for us.  We will journey on to Kimbolton, Ohio.  Sure hope it is warmer there.

Here comes the snow.

Woke up to 30 degrees and overcast skies.  Right before lunch the temperature reached 33 degrees and  snow started falling.

Happy Birthday Leslie.

Today is our friend, Leslie’s birthday.  Happy Birthday Leslie.  Sure hope you got to have some fun today.  Wish we could be there to celebrate with you.

John got up around 8:00 this morning and went to get the propane tanks filled.  He didn’t have to go but three blocks so that wasn’t bad.  It warmed up to 43 degrees early this afternoon.  A very nice change.

Late this afternoon John and I went into Lima to see the movie, “The Lincoln Lawyer”.  The movie had lots of twists and turns and we both found it entertaining.  I am a big fan of Matthew McConaughey so I usually like anything he stars in.

One of our readers asked about Fred.  He enjoyed a couple of walks around the park today then spent most of his day napping and chilling out.   On one of our walks we saw the ducks again.  Fred wanted to jump in the water after them.   I imagine he would eat one if he caught one.  That would not  be good.

John gets a hair cut.

Still cold here but the weatherman says it will be warming up in the next few days.  This afternoon it actually reached 39 degrees.  Wow that is close to 40 degrees.  I think I could stand that for a while.  John took advantage of the warmer temps and ventured outside to cut is hair.

DSCN2805

Today it was two degrees warmer than yesterday at this exact time.  I just happened to look at the clock at the same time two days in a row.  That is funny.  I guess that means I have nothing to do. LOL

DSCN2807

Here is John after his hair cut.   Looks like he did a good job.

Fred and I took advantage of the warmer weather and walked to the other side of the park.   We didn’t see anyone else out and about.  It seems everyone is staying in.

Tonight the low is supposed to be 24 and, if the weatherman gets it right, it will be the last night of the low 20s.  Woo Hoo!  Time to heat things up. That’s what I’m talking about.

Give me a cookie…..please.

Woke up to a cold 23 degrees this morning.  Luckily the temperatures rose during the day.  This afternoon John decided to make another batch of his homemade chocolate chip cookies.  Fred stood by as the first batch came out of the oven.   So sad he could not have one because of the chocolate chips.  I gave him one of his doggy treats instead so he was happy.

A little later Fred was doing his dance at the door and wanted to go out.  By this time it had warmed up quite a bit.

Look 37 degrees outside. Woohoo!

Since it was warmer Fred and I walked around the park a little.   I did not see the ducks or geese today.  So no pictures of wildlife.  I did take pictures of the bridges Fred and I crossed.

Oh No 23 degrees.

Not much going on here but the cold weather. Last night temperatures dropped to a frosty 23 degrees. BRRRRRR!

After lunch John and I ventured out to make a grocery run to Wal-mart. It was 33 degrees and that was as high as it was going to get so we decided to get it over with. LOL When we got back John made a batch of his homemade laundry soap and a batch of fabric softener then finished some more laundry.

Tonight we had burgers and fruit salad for dinner. Got a roast in the slow cooker for tomorrow so we are all set. Now if I could just pipe in some warm temperatures I would be so happy.

Still cold in Ohio.

We slept until almost 10:00 this morning…..even Fred.  Today was the day to catch up on laundry, clean out the refrigerator and other household stuff.   Still cold here.  The high today was 37 degrees.  Uck!  I did manage to get a few pictures of the park.

Day 4 of Repairs.

Up at the usual 5:15 and out of the RV by 6:00 again, for the last time.  Today the tech finished our list of items and we were on the road by 2:00 p.m.  Yeah!!!

We rolled into Lakewood Village Resort in Wapakoneta, Ohio around 5:00 and got set up.   It is cold here too.  That is a real bummer for me.

The alarm clock will NOT be set tonight.  We both hope to sleep late tomorrow.  I am sure Fred feels the same way.

Day 3 of Repairs.

Today was more of the same…..up at 5:15 a.m. out of the RV by 6:00 a.m. then over to the customer lounge.  Cold again today.  If it made to 40 degrees it sure didn’t feel like it.  It was so cold we brought Fred with us to the customer lounge to wait.  He slept in his doggy bed most of the day and was well behaved.  The other two couples that are here having work done were in the lounge also.  One of them brought their little dog also.  Our tech told us they would be finished with us tomorrow. Yeah!! I might just do the happy dance. LOL

One of the items fixed today was the cabinet below the entertainment system.  The bottom of the cabinet was uneven and needed some adjustments.

DSCN2778

Here is the repaired cabinet.  It looks real good now.

Also repaired today was the pocket door leading to the upstairs.  I am glad to finally have it fixed.  It came off the track back in August and we weren’t able to get it fixed until now.

Tomorrow the Canadian couple we met while waiting in the lounge will be leaving and heading back home.  They put off leaving this morning because of the weather.  We have enjoyed meeting them and sharing travel stories.

Laugh everyday. Happy trails. Stay safe.

Day 2 of Repairs.

Up again at 5:15 a.m. and out of the RV by 6:00.  Fred is as tired of this as we are poor dog.  He did not want to get up when the clock went off.

DSCN2776

Fred looks like he might be thinking, “You have got to be joking… not another day of this stuff.” LOL

It is colder today and raining with the promise of colder temperatures tomorrow.  Oh happy joy joy.

John and I decided to take the plant tour again, along with two other couples who were waiting on repairs.  One couple is from Canada and the other I think is from Atlanta, GA.  The couple from Canada will be leaving tomorrow and heading home.   The other couple just got here today and will be here a couple of days.  We are hopeful that our repairs will be completed tomorrow.

I did not keep up with how many items were fixed from the list today but I did take pictures of the most obvious ones.
