Meeting Elaine & Rick and Crossing the Border.

After leaving Church Point we traveled onto Advocate Harbour and stayed at ADDA Fundy RV Park.  It was full hook up with 30 AMP.  There were a couple other RVs in the park so it was very quiet.  I guess everything is winding down for the season.

While sightseeing in the area we stopped at Cape d' Or to photograph the lighthouse.

The lighthouse, restaurant and Inn at the bottom of the hill.

When you arrive there is a sign posted at the top of the hill that says "walk down".   It is a beautiful place but the walk down is very steep and rocky.  It would be very difficult for persons with leg or knee problems to make the trek down.  The walk back up the steep hill was brutal for me.
John at the bottom.  Here are a few pictures of the scenery surrounding the lighthouse.

On Thursday, September 22nd we traveled on to Moncton to meet Elaine and Rick Cochrane.  We have been corresponding with Elaine on Facebook and had made plans to meet her and her husband Rick. We actually parked at their place in town.  It was so great to meet them in person.  We enjoyed our visit with them and hope to meet them down the road real soon.  A huge thank you to them for a wonderful dinner, a place to park and a fantastic visit.

Rick and Elaine.

The next day we made our way across the border and back into the US.  We have enjoyed our adventures in Canada and plan to return again one day.  We overnighted at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston, Maine.  They have RV parking in the back parking lot of the hotel grounds...30 AMP and only 15 dollars.   Thanks Elaine for the tip about the Ramada.

Yesterday we traveled on to Tuxbury Pond RV Resort in South Hampton, New Hampshire.  We actually have 50A FHU!    Yeah!!!

Our site.

Tomorrow will be a travel day for us.  We will be stopping in at Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge for a few days.

Laugh everyday.  Happy trails.  Stay safe.

  1. Rick and Elaine are wonderful hosts! We were also invited to their place to stay the night and have dinner with them. They have a lovely place, so glad that you got to met them and enjoy their hospitality.

We have also stayed at the Ramada Inn with our RV, it is a great place to stop on the way to or from Canada on the east coast. Glad you enjoyed your visit to our country.
