SOLD!!!

John at the FD today for part of a shift.  He is filling in for another firefighter.

Well we finally got an offer then it went to a counter offer and then another counter offer and then…..SOLD!!!!  It only took six months.  Not too bad in this economy.  Now to get rid of stuff.  The house inspection will be next week and they are planning to close on March 31st.   I know we will be very busy for the rest of this month and next.  Our thanks to everyone for their prayers and keeping fingers, toes and everything else crossed. LOL

John went to City Hall today to file is papers so he can retire.  I know he has waited for this day for a long time but I also know he is really really really going to miss the guys at the FD.  They are like family.

Remember to laugh everyday.  Happy trails.  Stay safe.

  1. It's not over till that fat lady sings. Some folks have had to sell their houses three times, when deals fell through.
I am not trying to rain on your parade, but it does happen.
I sure hope it all goes well. Happy Trails, Penny, TX

  5. O: Congratulations Bridget and John!

Even 6 months can seem like an enternity when you feel like your in Limbo.

Another step closer, reality strikes, and your mindset changes. You can finally put things into motion that have been on hold waiting for the sale of your house.

There is nothing worse that indecision and being kept in a holding pattern. It seems thats over for you now. :)

My best wishes to you both for a smooth sale!

  7. Wow, we hope it goes through and you can hit the road, six months, I hope when Donna & I put our place on the market it will go like that, the worst part is yet to come, deciding what to keep, what to sell and what has to be trashed. But in the end it will be worth it. Good Luck, Sam & Donna.
