Death Valley, CA

Today we packed a picnic lunch and took off on a day trip and drove through part of Death Valley National Park.   It was very hot.  At one point the thermometer read 110 degrees.  That is freaking hot. LOL

It was late afternoon by the time we made it back home.  Fred was glad to see us and get his dinner.

Red Rock Canyon

The weather was just too beautiful to waste today so we packed a picnic lunch and took a drive through Red Rock Canyon.  The scenery was beautiful.  Didn’t see any wildlife…just lots of people taking pictures just like us. LOL

Later tonight we attended the dirt track races at Pahrump Valley Speedway.  It was loud and dirty with lots of crashes.  We had a great time.

Riding around in the desert.

Another warm sunny day in Pahrump.  After lunch we decided to go riding in the desert.



I thought these plants were pretty.  John said they are probably weeds. LOL




John switched to 4-wheel drive for a little off-road travel.  Here we go.

Yea.  We made it to the top.  It was quite windy.
