Raccoon Valley RV Park

Up around 9, had breakfast, then it was off to TN.  We made it to Raccoon Valley RV Park at 2:30.  It is COLD here.  It was in the mid 30s when we got here and is supposed to drop into the 20s tonight.  I want some warmer weather.

You can tell there aren’t many people staying in the park right now.

Fenced in dog run.  Fred really likes this.

Fred doing his favorite thing……..sniffing. LOL

Later this afternoon we made the usual Wal-Mart run for a few groceries.  Tonight we had chicken cooked in pineapple juice with red peppers and onions, green beans and whole grain pasta with sweet red peppers, green onions and grape tomatoes.

Laugh everyday.  Happy trails.  Stay safe.

  3. Get you some REAL Pork BBQ while your there and don't forget the coleslaw and hoe cakes.

My Dad lives in Clarksville and introduced me to it years ago. Today, here at home, Rod just put two pork butts on the smoker for us to enjoy. I can't wait! :)

Stay warm, get some BBQ. :)

    Take care,
    Connie

  4. We have been to that park when it was crowded. Looks like you are almost alone now. We heard they were going to add another section.

I guess everyone has moved to FL :)

  6. We stayed there a few times too. My friends live a couple miles away. Sometimes it can be 60 one day and then 20 the next there. Strange.

The next exit up the highway is a cool place if you like museums, called The Museum of Appelachia http://www.museumofappalachia.org/
    2819 Andersonville Hwy.

My friend sells handwovens in the studio across the road from there.
