John and I spent a wonderful day with Aunt Eloise, Elaine and Bob sightseeing in Glacier National Park. We packed a picnic lunch and set out around 9:00 this morning. There were lots of people in the park today. The traffic was slow because of road work. On the way to the visitor’s center at Logan’s Pass I was able to get some pictures.
After working our way through all the roadwork we finally made it to the visitor’s center. We made it just in time to hear the park ranger speak about how climate changes have affected the glaciers and wildlife in the park.

While at the visitor’s center we saw a ground squirrel, a deer and a mountain goat. Got pictures of the squirrel and mountain goat.
This mountain goat came walking up behind us as we sat outside the visitor’s center. I guess all the people hanging around didn’t bother him.
After leaving the visitor’s center we found a picnic table in nice shady area and ate lunch.
This is the view from our picnic spot.
Our next stop was the Cedar Trails. The trail was mostly shaded with lots of large cedar trees to look at as well as water falls.
By late afternoon we were making our way back to Aunt Eloise’s. Bob and Elaine left tonight heading back home. We wish them safe travels.
Laugh everyday. Happy trails. Stay safe.
Nice pictures! We were just there (2 weeks ago)! Looks like the snow is melting some more. I love the Going to the Sun Road!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are doing the same as we are, only a different park. Still hunting the well hidden "moose". Have fun, see you soon. Hugs
