Tonight Josh and Lindsay came by to pick us up for dinner. Josh and John worked together at the Ridgeland Fire Department years ago and have kept in touch. Thanks Josh and Lindsay for treating us to a wonderful dinner. We ate at Farnsworth House Inn in Gettysburg. Unfortunately, I was so caught up in visiting that I forgot to take a picture of the food but I can tell you it was delicious. They have the little pumpkin fritters that are to die for. If you are in the area try it out. It is a very unusual place.
One of the entrances to the dining areas.
A wall of ivy in the garden area. I thought it looked unusual with all the birdhouses on it.
After our delicious dinner we went back to Josh and Lindsay’s for some card games. We played a round of 10 Penny and Josh won. He beat us bad. LOL Next we played several rounds of Chase the Ace. We played so many rounds that all of us won at least once. That game is so unpredictable it is always fun to see which way the cards fall.
Lindsay trying to decide if she wants to trade cards with John.
The trade wasn’t a good one. Oh no.
Josh wins. Yeah!!
As usual when playing Chase the Ace there are those moments when the dealer can choose to flip for a higher card. Sometimes you get screwed. LOL
John had an ace then flipped an ace. That is never good.
Oops! It happened to Josh too.
Of course we all laughed and had a good time. At one point, when I wasn’t losing coins fast enough John and Josh decided to prop one of my coins on the edge of the pot. They really wanted me to contribute to the pot quicker. LOL Their little scheme worked because right after that I started losing big time. I’ll get them next time. LOL
Thanks again to Josh and Lindsay for dinner and a great time.
Laugh everyday. Happy trails. Stay safe.
It was our pleasure. It is always great seeing so two. Can't wait for next time.
