Woke up at 7:45 a.m. at the Village View to go down to breakfast at 8:30. Before heading downstairs John called to see if the camper was ready for pickup. Yeah……it was ready.
The owner cooked a fabulous omelet. John called it a kitchen sink omelet because it contained peppers, mushrooms, cheese, broccoli, onion, tomato, ham and sausage. She also served fresh fruit bowls of blueberries, strawberries, mandarin oranges and grapes along with toasted wheat bagels with blueberry cream cheese. Very very good.
Once breakfast was finished our first stop was to pick up Fred. When we arrived the lady told us Fred would not eat or go potty. This is not like Fred. He usually gobbles up food like it is his last meal. I think he was traumatized. Poor doggy. Now he is laying around like he is tired from an ordeal.
Of course this picture was taken after he gobbled up his dinner. LOL
Even the sock monkey had a fit. He just couldn’t bear to look at us. LOL
We picked up the camper at Indiana Interstate Enterprises. These people are top notch. Can’t say enough good things about them. Great, efficient customer service. We will definitely use them again.
Since we did not have a particular destination for today we stopped in St. Marys, Ohio. The first campground we pulled into was a State Park. As we drove around looking for a site John noticed that it was electric only and the area we were told to go to had picnic tables across each site pad and was closed so……back out we went. Our second stop was at a small campground called Easy Campground. Don’t know how it got it’s name. This park has water, sewer and 50 AMP. Yeah!!!! We are staying here for the night. Tomorrow we will venture on to South Charleston, Ohio.
Laugh everyday. Happy trails. Stay safe.
Oh I love the pic of Fred after his ordeal! What a typical beagle pose. LOL

My dog always hates to be boarded - I think they are afraid you will forget to come back for them. He looks overcome with relief, stretched out like that.
ReplyDeleteAwww, poor Fred! Looks like he's relaxing back in his own territory and happy again.
ReplyDeleteYou all travel safely!!

Oh, poor Fred..... I hope he feels safe now. Love the pictures of Socky, you just never know where that silly monkey is to show up and what he is going to do. Love y'all. Betty & JOe
ReplyDeleteGlad to see Fred is home and happy, Our Rigg's has never been away from us, so we don't know what he would do. He is going with us when we go on vacation next week, he passed his first camper week with flying colors so he will now be an official camper dog. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.
ReplyDeleteHi!... Found your blog a couple of weeks ago... really enjoying it! I LOVE the pictures you take of Sock Monkey. My little girl has one named "Socrates" (he is quite the philosopher ;-). She is always "monkeying around" with him, and it is always hilarious!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to reading more... Have a great day!
