Last day of SOITC Rally. We attended region and club meetings this morning then sat through the Dometic Seminar this afternoon. I don’t think we learned anything new but John did win a Thermoelectric Soft Cooler. Yeah!!
After our meeting ended this afternoon, John and I took Lester and Savannah out go-kart riding. They had a great time even thought it was 97 degrees.
Tonight John and I attended the SOITC Rally dinner. The meal consisted of potatoes, carrots, sliced roast beef, grilled chicken, salad and red velvet cake for dessert. The raffle immediately followed dinner. This time John won a Winegard Carryout Manual portable satellite TV antenna. Wow. Today was just his day. LOL
DRV gave all the couples at the dinner a cap and a visor. I think everyone received something by the time the raffles and door prizes were given out. Next we were entertained by Kenny Evans, a local talent. He performed gospel, country and a little 50s music. Very very talented.
Kenny Evans singing with three men from the audience. It was so funny.
Before we knew it it was time to call it a night and say “see you later” to some great RV friends.
Ann and Bill. We first met them in Kerrville, TX at an RV Dreams rally in 2009. It was so good to meet up with them again.
Harris and Jan. We met them Monday of this week while waiting at RV's for Less. We meet up with them again at the SOITC Rally. We have really enjoyed getting to know them and hope to meet up with them again down the road.
Tomorrow will be a travel day for us. We will make our way to Georgia to meet up with Lester and Savannah’s mom. We have thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Lester and Savannah and will miss them very much.
Laugh everyday. Happy trails. Stay safe.
Sounds like John needs to head toward Biloxi or Vegas and try his good luck! The rally looked like lots of fun and food. I'm sure you will miss your traveling companions..Its' always fun to have some along the way.
ReplyDeleteWhat ya got planned for John's birthday on Monday...a little bird told me.
Congrats John!! You should have bought a Lottery ticket... :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe John needs to play the powerball!
ReplyDeleteIt appears to me that you two are having way too much fun and should be ashamed telling us about it! Not really I hope that you have much more fun. Sherri and I are enjoying out time here and wish you could be here with us. I think that you both would like this place and if you are ever in this area try it out.
