Goodbye Jacksonville, Hello Hardeeville.

Got up early and headed out to see Amelia Island Lighthouse in Fernandina Beach, Florida this morning. The lighthouse was on U.S. Coast Guard property and was posted no trespassing so the picture is from a distant roadway. The lighthouse museum was a few blocks from the lighthouse. While there John and I stopped in for breakfast at a quaint little cafe called Bright Mornings. John had the blueberry pancakes and I chose bacon, eggs and wheat toast. When the server takes your order they bring a sliced muffin with two kinds of preserves or marmalade to munch on until your food arrives. The food and service were excellent.

After seeing the lighthouse and getting the passport stamped at the museum we caught the ferry and made it back in time for check out at Hanna Park. We drove over to Harold and Sandie’s and parked the RV in their front yard so we could have lunch with them before heading out to Hardeeville, SC. We dined at El Potro Mexican restaurant which is a favorite of Harold and Sandie’s. The food was delicious. When lunch was over it was time to say our goodbyes and hit the road again. Thank you Harold and Sandie for all the hospitality during our stay. As usual we enjoyed the time we spent with you and your family.

We arrived at Hardeeville RV park in Hardeeville, SC and got setup around 4:30 p.m. This is a nice park that is in driving distance of Savannah, GA. Thanks Jim and Ellie for telling us about this place.

Remember to laugh everyday. Happy trails. Stay safe.
