On this day 10 years ago life as we knew it in the US was changed forever by a senseless act of terrorism. Today we remember those who lost their lives on that tragic day.
9/11 Never Forget
Today is our dear friend Betty Klaas’ Birthday. Happy Birthday Betty. Hope you had a great birthday.

Up at 8:20 this morning. Wow, that is early for us. John washed the Freightliner while it was still cool. Then we left with Mac and Netters for some sightseeing. Our first stop was the South Dakota Air and Space Museum. Lots of cool stuff to look at in there.
Our next stop was Crazy Horse. It still looks the same as it did in 1991 to me. Still cool to look at though.
After leaving Crazy Horse we drove back through Custer making our way back to Rapid City. The only wildlife we saw today were turkeys and deer. We did see buffalo statues as we drove through Custer. I managed to get a couple of pictures from the window.
Laugh everyday. Happy trails. Stay safe.
Thank you for your lovely tribute to 911.
ReplyDeleteWe have been to Custer and stayed nearby at the Heritage Village RV campground. We had a field of horses behind us and a field of sheep across the road. What a lovely place to use as a base camp to tour from!!

Thanks for visiting the South Dakota Air and Space Museum! If you get a chance, visit more of Rapid City! There are so many things to see and do. Stop downtown at Prairie Edge or see the City of Presidents statues. Visit a Black Hills Gold jewelry factory, many offering free tours.
