A walk in the park.

Almost 70 degrees and sunny today.  Maybe the warm weather will hang around for a while.  John and I took advantage of the nice weather and went on a long walk this morning.  We were hoping to see some wildlife.   The pictures below give you a view of our tour.

Don’t know what kind of bird these are or what they are doing.

This was the beginning of our walk.  It was all downhill.  You know what the return trip will be like. LOL

We finally made it to the bottom of the hill.

Located at the bottom of the hill is the horseback riding center.  Here are the horses.

This is on the other side of the horse arena.  It looks like something out of a movie set complete with all the small town buildings.

There are several bridges in the park.  I like looking at them.  Don’t know why I just do.

Once of several small brooks that run through the park.

See the animal almost at the center of this photo? Don’t know what kind of animal this is.  We could not get close enough to get a clear picture.  It was interesting looking.

The walk back was straight up hill.  Oh look, John is clipping right along.  By the time we made it back we had worked up an appetite for lunch.  This park has lots of things to do.  I would like to come back one day during the peak season just to see what type of shows they have in the horse arena.

Looks like we will be unhooking everything tomorrow and going down the hill to refill the fresh water tanks.  The lady in the office informed us this morning that it will probably be April 11th before water will be turned on at the campsites.  Oh well, we will have to add that to our agenda for tomorrow.

Laugh everyday.  Happy trails.  Stay safe.

  2. Looks like a great park but why are you staying with no water? Isn't it inconvenient?

  3. Bill,
They don't turn the water on until mid April. The faucets are exposed above ground so they want to be sure the freezing weather has passed. We have our 100 gallon fresh water tank we filled last Friday and again this Friday.
