Up at 8:00 and out of Gettysburg before 10:00 as we make our way to Spotsylvania. The trip was pretty much uneventful with the exception of the Washington D.C. traffic.
We arrived at Wilderness Presidential Resorts and got setup before 1:00 p.m. Shortly after getting set up I noticed another fifth wheel pulling in next to us. John was outside while they were backing in. The lady recognized our rig and asked John, “Weren’t you just at Gettysburg?” Sure is a small world. They just came from the same park as we did. The road across from our camping area.
The pond at the end of the road.
The Barn Grill.
Tonight we ventured out for dinner instead of eating in. I wanted a juicy burger so John went online in search of a place to go. We ate at a place called Clearwater Grill & Tavern. Those were the best burger we have ever had.
The waitress brought out homemade yeast rolls before dinner. Not diet food. LOL
Oops, I was going to take a picture before I bit into it. I ordered the Clearwater Classic with a side of green beans.
Here is John’s Bacon Bleu Burger with a side of cole slaw.
Clearwater Grill & Tavern in Locust Grove, VA. It was worth the eight mile drive from the campground.
Laugh everyday. Happy trails. Stay safe.
Glad you made it safely..I hated that DC traffic and I see there is still construction? Stay safe.... Loretta and Bill
