John picks up new truck and has lunch with Dennis & Donna

Up early this morning to the sound of heavy rain.  Took John to the airport for his flight to Chicago to pick up the new truck.

After dropping John off I drove over to Bob and Marcy’s to pick them up for our casino day.  Since Dad is feeling so much better he wanted to go to his favorite casino The Silver Star for lunch and a few games.  Dad was the big winner of the day with a total of $95.00.  Mom broke even and I came home with $10.00.

Around 2:30 p.m. John called to say he was about to get on the road and head home. While in Chicago he got to meet Dennis and Donna for lunch.  I sure wish I had been there to meet them in person.  I feel as if I already know them.  John sent me this picture by cell phone.   So glad John got to meet you Dennis and Donna.  Hopefully I will get to meet you soon on the road.

For Dinner Mom, Dad and I grabbed burgers at a local Wendy’s then returned home to play 10 Penny.  Tonight’s game was a landslide.  Mom won with a score of 20!  Dad’s score was 115 and me….well I was the big loser with a whopping score of 220.  I think we need a rematch. LOL

002 Here is a picture of Mom holding up the score card.  I tried to zoom in on the scores but it blurred.

It is almost 10:30 p.m. and I am anxiously awaiting news from John since he has been on the road driving for so many hours.

Tomorrow we will head to Knoxville, TN to pick up the new camper.  It will be a very busy week.

Laugh everyday.  Happy trails.  Stay safe.

  2. What an exciting but exhausting time for you both. John is certainly burning up the highways this week. I'm really happy for you both!

  3. Hi Bridget...We had a great time with John...Make sure to post some pics of the new fiver and you wouldn't! John is having 2 big days on the road!!!

  4. You've just got to be sooooooo excited about this time in your journey, meeting fellow bloggers, new rig, etc. Can't wait to see pictures!(Just a teeny, tiny bit jealous!)

  5. Ok, saw the new rig on Donna's blog, and I'm salivating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You lucky, lucky dogs! :) Does the horn sound like the big trucks on the highway? If so, I may just give up on salivating, and go into a dead faint!
