We all got up later today. I guess we were all tired from staying up late playing 10 Penny. Mid morning John and Mike went over to Joe and Sherri’s to help Joe work on their dryer. While the men worked on the dryer Leslie, Sherri and I worked up a grocery list and a menu for the week.
Before we knew it lunch time was upon us so we combined a few groceries and came up with chili dogs with all the fixins, chips and dip and cookies for dessert. As we sat down to eat, the men informed us that the dryer was going to be a simple fix and would be working in no time. Yeah!! That is good news.
We spent the afternoon sitting outside visiting and making plans until the mosquito swarms started again. It was decided that this was the time to make the Wal-mart run to Durango. While in Durango we ate at Serious Texas BBQ. Joe, Sherri, Mike and Leslie had eaten there before and knew we would like it.
Leslie and Mike.
Joe and Sherri.
The whole gang.
Joe didn’t want Flat Clayton to feel left out so he offered him a soft drink.
McKenzie, one of the restaurant servers, stopped by to take a picture with Flat Clayton to celebrate his visit to Serious Texas BBQ in Durango.
We all enjoyed a nice dinner and great laughs. The food here is great. My personal favorite was the brisket. Yum Yum.
Our next stop was Wal-Mart. It was after 9:00 p.m. when we arrived so the store was not crowded. This was probably the best time to shop. We piled all three basket loads into Joe and Sherri’s truck and headed back for the campground. The hour was late so we called it a night.
Laugh everyday. Happy trails. Stay safe.
Wow.. that Flat Clayton sure is getting around!
ReplyDeleteAnd hanging with some cute waitresses too.
