Eating and Shopping in Old Town Albuquerque.

Woke up to 57 degrees this morning.  Very nice. Our plan for today was to visit the old town area of Albuquerque.  We visited here in 2008 on our way to Las Vegas but did not get to see a whole lot of the shops.

One place we visited was The Chile Casa.  We were looking for hot sauces and salsas which were made in the area and they had lots of them.  John purchased a bottle of fire roasted green chile salsa.  The man running the shop was very interesting and shared information about the local products and activities.

085 Awe how cute it has our last name on it. LOL

After leaving The Chile Casa we visited several other shops and decided it was time for lunch.  We ate at a place called Casa De Fiesta Mexican Restaurant.  Since the weather was so nice we decided to dine outside.

082 This is the sign outside the restaurant across from our table.

We both ordered the Wednesday lunch special which was beef stuffed sopapillas, beans, rice and green chile salsa.  John ordered some chips and salsa while we waited for our lunch order.  A dessert of sopapillas with honey came with our lunch.

083John as he takes the last bite of his dessert. Yum Yum.

078 This is an old church on the square in old town.

Our goal today was to purchase a birthday gift for our son Robert who will be 28 on September 14th.  We purchased gifts for him and a souvenir for our daughter-in-law Kelsey then agreed it was time to head back to the camper.

Tomorrow will be moving day for us.  Our destination Blue Spruce RV Park in Bayfield, Colorado.

Laugh everyday.  Happy trails.  Stay safe.
