Got up early and fixed a picnic lunch to take with us to Mesa Verde National Park. We also packed some goodies for Fred as he was coming along for the day trip.
Our first stop, once inside the park, was to get a picture of the entrance sign. Flat Clayton got to sit in the middle of the sign for his picture.
Our next stop was at the Natural Seep Springs. Flat Clayton and I got John to take our picture. Isn’t that a beautiful scenery behind us? The sun was so bright I had to squint. The next pictures were taken by John in the order of our self guided tour.
I think Fred was tired after a long day of riding around. He and Sockey hung out in the back seat of the truck.
Tomorrow will be travel day for us. We will be traveling on to Arboles, CO to Navajo State Park to meet up with our friends Joe, Sherri, Mike and Leslie.
Laugh everyday. Happy trails. Stay safe.
Wow, you can see for miles in several pics with the mountain range in the background.
ReplyDeleteI just know you two are 'dancing like snoopy in the moonlight' as your excitement grows to meet up with the gang again.
It'll be interesting to see who wins at 10 penny and mexican train. Not that I have any doubts. We all know it'll be you or John. ;)
Take care and have a safe trip.
Connie
We visited Mesa Verde in April 2009 and loved it! We were amazed at the cliff dwellings and how intact they are. Such a beautiful part of our country. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to see stuff that's older them I am..All this time I thought Clayton was FAT Clayton...I guess I need to adjust my bifocals! Your photos were great....I would have been trying to climb into the pits to touch stuff so I could channel history...and I would be in jail.
